Double-Blind Peer Review Process

Double-Blind Peer Review Process – Bule Hora University Journals (BHU Journals)

Bule Hora University Journals (BHU Journals) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and credibility of published research. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review cycle.

Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief receives all submitted manuscripts and ensures proper registration, coding, and documentation. The manuscript is then forwarded to the Associate Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor for an initial evaluation.

This preliminary assessment checks:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Academic quality and originality
  • Compliance with submission guidelines
  • Structure and formatting standards

Manuscript Classification and Formatting Check

The editorial team identifies the manuscript type, which may include:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Short Communications
  • Case Studies
  • Commentaries
  • Book Reviews

Each manuscript is carefully reviewed for proper structure, including:

  • Title, authors, and affiliations
  • Abstract and keywords
  • Introduction and problem statement
  • Objectives of the study
  • Materials and methods
  • Results and discussion
  • References and citations

Formatting elements such as font style, spacing, headings, figures, tables, equations, and overall presentation are also verified.

Double-Blind Peer Review

After successful pre-assessment, the manuscript is assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers under a double-blind system. A language editor may also be involved to assess clarity and readability.

During this stage:

  • Reviewers evaluate the scientific quality, originality, and validity
  • Constructive feedback and recommendations are provided
  • Reviewer identities remain anonymous to the authors
  • Author identities remain hidden from reviewers

Author Revision

Reviewer comments and editorial feedback are shared with the authors (without revealing reviewer identities). Authors are required to revise their manuscripts accordingly and respond to all comments.

The editorial team ensures that all suggested corrections and improvements are properly addressed before proceeding.

Final Decision

The Editorial Board evaluates the revised manuscript based on reviewer recommendations and may:

  • Accept the manuscript for publication
  • Request further revisions
  • Reject the manuscript

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the overall quality, originality, and contribution of the research.

Publication Integrity

BHU Journals ensures that all published articles meet high academic and ethical standards. The double-blind peer review process guarantees fairness, transparency, and unbiased evaluation of all submissions.
